Boris Becker, yes, that Boris Becker, has joined Team PokerStars. After years as a successful professional tennis player (winner of six grand slam tennis events), Boris Becker is setting his sites on bringing that kind of success to his professional poker career.
Becker says that he started learning poker when he was playing professional tennis, he would play casually in between professional tennis games in order to help improve his concentration. Now he plans to challenge himself to be able to compete at the highest levels in Poker.
Becker has noted that there is actually a lot of similarity between tennis and poker with regard to strategy, psychology, and decision-making under pressure.
You can expect to see Boris Becker first in the European Poker Tour. He'll be playing at the EPT Dortmund and the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo.
